Today was the UIL meet in Glen Rose.

I placed first in Headlines, which is pretty surprising considering the fact that I've sucked at headlines for ever.... The bad thing is I didn't place in Feature Writing, which I went to State in last year. That wasn't entirely my fualt... The prompts they gave us were written by three-year-olds.... Or so it would seem...

Anyways, Super Bowl party is tomorrow!! Still say Eagles by 14...

YAY!!! THE WEEKEND!!!!

Eagles by 14... Easy...

Wednesday, February 02, 2005

Well, my UIL Competition in Glen Rose is Saturday, and I can't wait. UIL events are always fun, no matter how nerdy they may seem.

Sunday is the Super Bowl, so it's kinda obvious what I'll be doing... That's pretty much my weekend.

I guess it's obvious what I'm thinking about eh?

Hey!

Err... I need to stop taking these month-long breaks. I updated like three times a day when I first got this thing, which is probably why I got so burnt out on it lately... Maybe I'll update once or twice a week from now on...

Anyways, here goes...

The past month has been pretty good, I guess. We had a UIL competition in Miday, and I'm happy to say there were no pants split this time! I placed first in feature writing and fifth in headlines, which is good considering the judges were professionals from all over Texas. I'm such a nerd, aren't I?

My sister got a kitten right after Christmas, and I swear that thing is possessed by the devil. She used to be all docile and stuff, but now whenever you lay on the living room floor, she tries to rip your flesh off. It's funny though. You'd laugh if you saw it. She's a siamese (spelling?) with bright blue eyes and a tiger-striped tail. But when she gets in a playful mood, every blue part of her eye vanishes, and her eyes are completely black. 100% black... The other night I was playing with her and I lunged my hands at her and hissed. So, being the demon-spawn she is, she ran away and jumped literally 4 feet in the air to try to scratch my face. (I was on my knees). I caught her in mid air, and her totally black eyes turned blue again and she licked my nose. I think she's going to try to slit my throat the next time I'm over there though...

Last week was hell... I had a history project due, missed match assignements to turn in, and a newspaper to plan... (Another hint to me being a nerd... I'm the Asst. Editor of the newspaper!! YAY!! It is fun though...) ANYWAYS... I got my project and newspaper pretty much done as much as I could, but the Algebra II assignments went undone, meaning I will be very close to failing the three weeks... It's remarkable that I'm still passing... 4 Zeros and I have a 73.8... But Mrs. Paul comes back from maternity leave on Monday, I there is no doubt in my mind that I'll be failing by Tuesday. I usually get like... As or Bs in all of my classes, but I've got a rare form of EARLY Senioritis... I'll be a senior next year, so I'm looking forward to that...

Well, I'm gonna cut it short there... I'll try to update more often now. Sorry for making you three readers wait.

Well - The eve of Christmas... FINALLY....

Every year we open one present on Christmas Eve, and although this movie is fairly old, I'm thrilled to finally have it. My parents got me Pirates of the Caribbean! Johnny Depp is awesome in that movie...

Today was a good day. My Packers beat the Vikings and clinched the Division, I got a good movie, and I ate like there is no tomorrow... Lucky for all of us, there is a tomorrow, because it's CHRISTMAS... This is honestly the greatest time of the year... Sometimes I wish I still believed in Santa.... : (

Yesterday my sister and I were going to Wal-Mart to pick up a few last minute presents and we saw a coyote running along the railroad tracks... It was skinny and sick looking, so we tossed some Taco Bell to it, and it came right up to my side of the car. It had gorgeous blue eyes and it didn't look violent in any way... But I still didn't pet it, even though I was dying to. I love Coyotes and wolves....

Anywho - I'm gonna be adding a few more songs by, believe it or not, an R&B superstar... I'll give you three guesses who it is....

Till next time!!
